Conference Description
Continuing the ITS-Davis tradition of convening the highest caliber experts and leaders from government, environmental NGOs, industry and academia, this invitation-only event launched our efforts to contribute to sustainable transportation policy development in Europe.
The two-day conference addressed the challenges of climate change in the context of energy security, environmental justice, economics and how these influence transportation investments and choices.
Key topics included the transition to low carbon energy, electrification of cars and trucks and sustainable fuels for aviation and shipping; the digital transition and its impact for passenger mobility, including through new mobility and travel multimodality, and freight logistics; and cross-cutting issues of environmental and mobility justice and labor impacts.
Experiences and lessons learned on both sides of the Atlantic were shared, along with considerations for engaging with China and other world markets.
